On the evening of March the twelfth, police were called to the scene of a gold robbery in Thailand’s Uthaithani province. CCTV showed the terrifying moment when 2 robbers, apparently one male and one female all in black, stormed into a gold shop and took a large number of gold necklaces worth over 2 million baht before escaping in a car. At one point, the robbers attacked fifty five year old Janyong Nopparat, the shop’s owner, who struggled to stop the robbery, inflicting a serious head injury. Police have been checking a number of CCTV cameras in the area in an effort to identify the villains.
