According to her lawyer, Thailand's fugitive former Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra's one hundred and ten million baht mansion in Bangkok is among some 30 assets that were confiscated on the thirty first of January to pay compensation, demanded from her by the court, for financial damage stemming from her government's rice-pledging scheme. Lawyer Noppadon Laothong said that the Legal Execution Department started freezing Yingluck’s bank accounts and seizing property last July. The assets have not yet been publicly auctioned.
