The thirty-seven year-old Todsaporn Harnprasert and other villagers from Amphoe Ko Kah in Thailand’s Lampang province recently asked companies to send cranes to the Provincial Electricity Authority to lift utility poles out of the way in order to rescue a stray dog, which has been stuck underneath them for four days. Someone heard the starving puppy’s yelps and called for help but rescuers could not lift the poles which weigh over three tons each. After an appeal via Facebook, the Sirakorn Company sent two cranes and ten staff, and one hour later the dog was free. The injured puppy was sent to the vet and is now awaiting adoption.
