A school in Thailand’s city of Konkaen has organized an activity to encourage their students to get involved in recycling by using a World Cup game. Suriya Thongboonmak, director of Namphong Phatanasuksa Ratchamangkhlaphisek School, said students have been asked to bring used water bottles and other recyclable garbage to exchange for score cards on which they can try to predict the winners of each game. The students can win sports equipment and the winner of the World Cup Final prediction will get a Thai National Team uniform. The purpose is to get students interested in football while learning about waste management.
