On June the nineteenth, monsoon rains continued to fall on Thailand’s Ranong province, triggering flash floods as the water flows down from the mountains into four villages near the Thai-Myanmar border area. At least one hundred and fifty homes have lost power and other utilities. Some people remained in their flooded dwellings, venturing out in flat bottomed boats to find food, while others moved to higher ground. For those without boats, the only thing they could do was to wait for help. Rescuers are now touring the area to hand out food and other necessities.
