A Vietnamese restaurant in Thailand’s Northern town of Chiangmai has created a buzz among locals and tourists. Other than the exceptional and authentic Vietnamese food, the big draw is a robot waiting tables. Customers can order food via mobile phone connected to the shop’s WiFi. Once the food is ready, the robot will serve it to you at your table. Thirty seven year old restaurant owner, Khongkrit Rattanamung, who opened the restaurant in March this year, built the robot himself for one hundred thousand baht. He said he uses the robot to cut down the cost of hiring employees.
