On the sixth of May, police arrested two South Korean fugitives, on charges of fraud, at a hotel in Thailand’s Kanchanaburi Province. The arrests of Byung Tae Jeon and Kyung Sook Sin, both fifty four, followed an Interpol red notice issued because the duo had allegedly tricked their fellow countrymen out of about two million baht before fleeing to Thailand thirteen years ago. The pair had convinced fifteen people to invest in a casino in Kanchanaburi, but then fled to hide in Thailand. Four of the fifteen victims said they had lost a total of about one hundred million baht. It is expected that the pair will be deported.
