During the evening of February the twenty first, local media reported severe storms affecting many areas in Thailand’s Loei province. In Phukradueng National Park, more than 250 tourists’ tents were ruined by an intense hail storm, but there were no reports of injuries. The first summer storm of the year also uprooted at least 10 electricity poles and damaged a number of houses, leaving over 400 families without electricity. The effort to restore the electricity supply was also affected, as summer storms struck the area again today.
