On October 17th, a Facebook clip went viral showing a four wheel drive vehicle trying to descend Phu Thap Berk, a one thousand seven hundred and forty nine meter high mountain in Thailand’s northeast Petchabun province.
Rain had left the road slippery when a Bangkok registered Mitsubishi Pajero unwisely tried to overtake other cars on a tight hairpin bend before almost tumbling over the cliff edge.
The roads up and down the Phu Tub Berk are pretty steep, winding and have many dangerous curves, so the area is prone to accidents. Tourists are warned to drive with caution, even in four wheel drive vehicles.
