Asleep at the wheel
Early Monday morning, the Emergency center in Thailand’s Chonburi province was alerted to a car which had been waiting at a traffic light for at least half an hour, with its driver apparently unconscious. Police officers and bystanders shouted and knocked several times on the car’s windows, but the man did not respond. Finally a locksmith was called to open the car doors. The confused driver, in local government uniform, finally woke. He said that, during a long wait at the red light, he just dozed off. Officers then gave him water to drink and washed his face and let him resume his journey to work.
